Warning Description: Winter Storm Warning
Warning Date: 4:12 am EST on February 9, 2010
WarningSum:...Winter Storm Warning Remains In Effect Until 6 Pm Est
Wednesday...
Warning Message:A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM EST
Wednesday.
Snow will continue over the region today. In addition to the 2 to
3 inches expected around daybreak...another 1 to 3 inches should
fall through the day. The snow will mix with and may even change
to rain for a period late this morning and early afternoon...
before changing back to all snow. A lull in the snow is expected
for a period early this evening. More snow will move in later
tonight and Wednesday...pushing storm total accumulations to 4 to
8 inches. Furthermore...windy conditions will develop late tonight
resulting in blowing and drifting snow through Wednesday.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means significant amounts
of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. If you must
travel...keep an extra flashlight... food...and water in your
vehicle in case of an emergency.
